About Quilt Dreamers

Quilt Dreamers is a guild that developed in the early 1990's in the southern metropolitan area of Minneapolis/St. Paul. We meet monthly for work sessions to create the quilts that we donate.

In addition, we also have retreats and "mystery" days where we can work on our own projects or all work on a similar pattern to produce multiple quilts for our outreach programs.

The basic outline of our meetings is several hours of work on quilts, followed by lunch, a quick business meeting and show-and-tell. We are also experimenting with continuing the work session after lunch and into the mid-afternoon.

If you are interested in joining us, we welcome visitors and new members! Stop in during one of our monthly meetings, or contact our president - she can give you more information and encouragement to check us out!

If you are a qualified non-profit organization in Dakota, Hennepin, or Scott counties that could use any of our quilts or other outreach products, please contact us!

Typical Meeting Activities

Layering tops, batting and backings
Sewing the layers together (foreground) and top-stitching after trimming and turning (background)
Tying the sewn quilts
A sewn quilt (before tying)
