Kids Quilts, Hospital and Nursing Home Quilts

Most of our efforts go into producing quilts for kids in crisis sitations, as well as nursing homes and some hospital units.

Here is seen a small sampling of the quilts that are produced each year.

This display is from our annual show, held the third Saturday of March at the Galaxie Library in Apple Valley, Minnesota.

During the 2007-2008 Guild year, we donated 168 quilts to children, 63 to nursing home residents, and 28 baby quilts

Chemo Caps

Another outreach program we do is to create soft hats for cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.

Preemie Quilts and Hats

Another project arm that we work on is to make very small quilts for preemie babies.

Neo-Natal Rooms

The local hospital recently expanded and created a new wing to focus on babies in intenstive care.

Each family will have a private room, and they asked us to provide bright, happy, cheerful quilts to hang on the walls within the rooms (they'll be encased behind plexiglass).

Here are all of the quilts donated in April, 2008.
